2017 Guide to LUCAUS

As many of you may know by now, festivals are a major part of Korean culture and are a way to celebrate anything from religious events, to traditional foods, to the blossom of new nature as well as the various arts: dance, martial arts, or sculpting – to name a few. To join in on the fun, each university throughout Korea hosts a festival of their own, which normally falls in the month of May – providing students with an opportunity to recharge after mid-terms for the final haul of the school year. Although each university puts on different activities for students to join in on, students can expect to take part in live K-Pop music, clubs activities, as well as a variety of food and beverage options provided for department promotion and fundraising.

This festival is not only a chance to bring together the CAU community through games and live excitement, but also to promote other ways that students can get involved throughout the entire school year – by showing off the talents of many CAU clubs. The CAU Festival spans out for a FULL WEEK, with many events that you can’t miss out on. All events are located on the grassy area near Front Gate, near the Law Building at Back Gate, or with randomized surprises around campus! Here is in the insider schedule below:

K-POP Performances

One of the most exciting aspects offered by some university festivals is the live performance of popular K-Pop artists. Last year, CAU’s line-up of artists featured: Twice, EXID, AKMU (Akdong), Geeks, MCSniper and Buzz. This geared to entertain a wide variety of music interests, by offering: girl group pop, hip hop/rap, indie-pop as well as rock genres. This line-up included some of the top K-Pop artists of 2016, giving students performances to remember.
